Legolas(meaning 'green-leaves') Greenleaf is a sindarin elf, son of King Thranduril (making Legolas the prince of the elves...sigh...).
In 3019 he went as a messenger to Rivendell and became a member of the Company of the Ring. After the War of the Ring he led
a group of elves to Ithilen, where they beautified the war-ravaged land. In FA(Fourth Age) 120, after the death of Aragorn,
he passed over the Sea. Legolas was a dear friend of Gimli's and brought him with him over the Sea. Since Legolas is an immortal
elf, so when he passed over the Sea he didn't die.
